There were claims by the first producers of flex belt that it can provide flat abs with packs on them with constant usage. These claims are not all that bloated but what they mention in fine print is that alone these belts are not worth a dime but they are great when packaged along with certain other techniques to get six packs. This is not how they write it but it is what they are trying to tell so that no one sues them later on grounds of falsified statement.
Training of the belly muscles is a tumulus task that requires a lot of hours and practice before one can actually get it ready for exerting the kind of force required to bring out muscle ripples. The day that one can perform bar pulls using only stomach muscles is the day that they shall start seeing cuts on the abdomen region. While the flex belt aids in this development it cannot provide this power by itself.
